Sarah Maria Griffin contributes to the anthology Banshee: Mythological Irish Women Retold, set to be published February 2026

We are excited to share that Banshee: Mythological Irish Women Retold, edited by Ailbhe Malon, will be available in hardback, e-book and audio formats Thursday 26th February, 2026.

The anthology will feature Irish myths retold by a collection of authors including Sarah Maria Griffin alongside Jane Casey, Naoise Dolan, Salma El-Wardany, Wendy Erskine, Nikita Gill, Anne Griffin, Jess Kidd, Megan Nolan and Sheila O’Flanagan. As noted by the publisher on the Bookseller, "This is a celebration of womanhood – and an homage to the ancient stories that still shape us, transporting you to treacherous landscapes and salt-crashing seas, generational curses and mystical islands, in Banshee you’ll find unruly mothers, rule-breaking queens, defiant mermaids and women outrunning their destiny – stories pulsing with desire, danger and defiance."

Christina Demosthenous, at John Murray, won UK and Commonwealth rights in all formats including audio at auction.

We are ecstatic to see our author Sarah Maria Griffin be part of such a wonderful anthology.
